Am I correct, judging by the options in the gui, that this router isn't able to be setup this way? Are there any plans to incorporate this feature?

You are correct. Armor Z1 (NBG6816) doesn't support Client/WiFi bridge.
Even though there is no plan for this feature now, we still appreciate your suggestion deeply.

Don't you think that's kind of disappointing for a supposedly top of the line router only a few years old? (it's not like the hardware isn't able)
Unfortunately I didn't have time to do my due research, and there is little support for this device as far as third party fw goes.0
