Whatsapp not connecting and not getting notifications anymore

My clients (iPhones) are not getting notifications anymore behind the USG Flex.
I was pretty sure this used to work and I can't recall any recent config changes.
Looks like outbound port 5222 is blocking "connecting" whatsapp
should I just allow this port?
According to this it should fall back to 443. Perhaps this what It used to do.

            I found only port out 5222 to be logged as blocked. I opened it.I believe that whatsapp must have used 443 in the past as indicated in article link above (which was open for outbound)0

            Is there any way to configure apps vs. ports in the Flex?e.g. I can enable "wahtsapp"vs. looking for ports and configure?0
