1st, you'll have to identified which model it is. 2nd, you'll need to connect it to the network (router preferred) 3rd, from your Macbook browser go to https://findme.zyxel.com/ and click on "Setup my NAS" then follow the instruction. That should do it. If it doesn't work, then there is a manual way all you have to do is…

You are welcome. Same to you as well. I might ended up spending $$$ for the hard drives I needed. LOL! I'll hold out until the next pay check thou, if I can. Or at least close to the time I get pay. ;)

"Google search is your friend". As a friend of mine used to say to me a long time ago, and I kept that in mind. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/595229/Zyxel-Communications-Nsa310.html Aw chuck, that older manual sorry. I guess 4.4 manual is the latest.

I don't have Multy X, but the router configuration concepts still the same. If that's what your configuration for your network currently is. I can see why it's not working. Switch the two routers locations. The router using WiFi backbone should be connecting to the WAN not the one with bride mode. Once you fixed that, your…

BTW! Do you even know what DNS Server purpose is? Just want to makes sure you understand what DNS Server is "Domain Name Service" Server. It resolves IP Address to a conventional name. Just want to be clear. Since you are using the terms a lot.

Yes, more or less IDP. All traffic [in/out](Chromecast included) ---> Router --> IDP [sit in the DMZ] (IDP filtered traffic and blocked unwanted) --> Router --> All Traffic [in/out] (Chromecast included) Similar concept to what you are trying to do. How are you setting up your DNS Server? Are you just setting it up as a…

@Kiesel - You sounds like one of my friend/ex-coworker, he build his home network that way. You are going to need more than a VMG3925-B10B to do that. DNS won't helps you do what you need in that aspect you are trying to do. My first thought was right, you were trying to do "Intrusion Detection Protection" of some type.…

Hurh! I came through earlier yesterday and I couldn't give any recommendation because the maximum hard drive size had been met. And now I see 2 post with recommendation other than what the OP needing help on. Thanks @Mijzelf for coming in to correct the problems and give some guidance. @Blues - You have your answers with…

@Masa56 you could try what @Pixel suggested. I know when I couldn't resolved my NAS326 IP Address at first, it didn't come up when I type //NAS326. But if it does for you it's great.

Yes, Kodi Media Player/Server. Sorry I was speaking in term of how it gets installed like Plex does or similar to it. I haven't tried the NFS method and not sure if it works well.

@Kiesel - The best way is to build yourself a DNS Server and have everyone log on to it. Like Windows Network. It will automatically force every computers to use the server DNS by default.
-
Sounds like @Kiesel trying to build Traffic Control for Local LAN and use port 53 as the gateway. Routing everything through the local DNS Server to direct traffic.

Is that the right IP Address for your NAS326? I doubt that is the IP Address (not unless you forced the static IP Address for your NAS326). Log into your router and look for your NAS326. See what IP Address your router give it. And that is the IP Address you uses, not what you just showed me in the picture.
-
Type in the IP Address in your browser and manually connect to your NAS326, and log in with admin/1234. Don't worry about using the auto connect with the app.

Look in your router for the IP Address for NAS326. The Zyxel app seeker will not works. I had the same problem when I first got my NAS326. It's the DNS issues.
