Hi There,
Refer to Organization Name "The Daily Cut", Site "One Raffles Place", traffic summary has mistakenly reported top usage as PayPal. That particular high usage iPad (POS3) is used as delivery and pick-up terminal while playing the music. Can you quickly check which why the traffic categorization is wrong and how soon can this be fixed?
Besides, Nebula doesn't seem to support granular zoom in of traffic usage by type by device at the moment. For example, when I know the top usage is PayPal, I want to click to zoom in to have list of devices consumed PayPal data traffic sorted from high to low. Meraki can do this. In Nebula, now we can only guess by comparing top usage by categories and top usage by clients and match the top client to say "oh, most likely you're the guy used PayPal most of the time". Let us know whether such feature is in the roadmap already or if it can be raised as a feature request to greatly enhance UX?
Thank you!

Hi @林追追
For your first question, as I check this org. now Netflix has become the top traffic used in the summary report. May I know which APP are this iPad used? We can try to reproduce to find out if APP patrol has sort it to the wrong category.
For your second question, although we didn't have the granular zoom in, however in Gateway>NSS analysis report has the similar function which can check which client has use those applications.
Please be aware that NSS analysis is still in the beta version, might have the unexpected result which we're still working on it.
Hope it can help you.

Hi Chris,
#1. Are you able to validate whether yesterday's usage was reported wrongly?
#2. I see the desired report is under the said different layout. Is it in the roadmap to bring such view into where we desired to view for instant visibility rather than going to a different interface to retrieve such info?0 -
If it's in the roadmap, please let us know the target release date. If not, kindly help to escalate to R&D as a feature request. Thanks, Chris!0

please also confirm whether user usage will be in the batch 1 release of API this year.0

Hi 追追
For your first question, the usage should not wrong, since both report points out in the past 7 days this IP has use 2G of Paypal relevant service.
For your second question, we'll keep NSS Analysis and remove the summary report, the schedule is in June of this year.

Chris, can NCC
1. allow user to click "application doughnut chart by usage" from dashboard
2. and then straightaway brings out the "client doughnut chart by usage"
3. and show description, ip address, and mac address of the client device with usage in GB and usage percentage. (not just the IPv4 Address which is not an instantly digestible info)
4. finally display client details when user clicks on the description
This will be a proper flow to put all your existing layouts together that greatly enhances the UX.
Please let me know if you will put this up as a complete feature request?
Thank you!0 -
Hi Chris,
Customer insisted that PayPal usage has no way to reach that high.
Can you do all you can to drill down to the log and investigate the reported case for the said site yesterday?
We appreciate your support!0 -
Hi,
in June we will only remove the "top applications by usage" in summary report, so the summary report will keep.
The NSS analysis doughnut chart will be on dashboard.
For your request on Step3 and 4 we can check the client detail information by click the IP in the NSS report. This enhancement schedule will be on this year of September.
Could the customer remember what app they have use in 4/3 to 4/4? The peak shows up on this timestamp and there is no Paypal usage now, we can try to reproduce if they can provide APP's name, we cannot confirm if the category is correct or not by just checking the log.

Hi,
Paypal traffic not show up on past 7 days.
The past experience we have is the symptom will persist if APP categorize incorrect.
It's possible that there is the other APP has using the Paypal traffic besides the previous list.
In order to confirm the categorization is correct or not will need to capture the packet during the symptom occur, I will keep monitoring for another week to see if it would happen again.
