I don't think anyone here has any actual experience changing the IP of this router. I don't think it can be done. Thank you for your reply but if you do thithe FLEX automatically fills in all the requisite fields for you correctly so not a problem. Nearest I can tell, I think it might be because the LAN1 interface is in…

Nope. It all looks fine and correct but the apply button is just grayed out. Kind of like it's not complete or I input wrong info or I haven't filled something in, but there are no errors or red text at all.

Sorry, I should have said that I tried that too. 192.168.0.1/24 Did not work either. The apply button is still grayed out.

Sorry I took so long but, I tried to change the LAN address and it won't let me. I went to Network settings - interface - internal - ge3 and clicked edit. Under "interface properties" I changed the IP/Network Mask from 192.168.168.1/24 to 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0. But the "apply" button is greyed out. I can't click it. Do…

That's great I appreciate that, but I'm not quite sure I understand the process you described. Let's start with … what should I do first? Should I change the IP address of the LAN of the router first? Also, It looks like the unit has 1 LAN zone with lan1 and lan2 on it. I'm guessing that this means that traffic can go back…

Yes. Agreed. Still playing with it now. Of course everything is in a different place than the USG40 that it took me a long time to finally get used to but it "appears" as though everything is there. I just have to hunt around and find it all. So as to not look to dumb I am going to spend the next few hours reading the 500…

OK so I got the H and started playing around with it and here is my initial impression. First of all you cannot administer it locally as I describe it. In order to start it up you HAVE to have an internet connection and you MUST register with them. The you MUST register with Nebula whether you intend to use it or not. You…

If it works, I'll post what I had to do here. 😎

Alright then. I guess I'll get a 100H and see if it fits the bill for me. Hopefully it will be a great upgrade to my old USG40 and I can figure out how to set it up. Thank you all for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

Well all I'm really looking for is a good hardware firewall. I don't use subscription services like anti-virus or the like. But what I do require is the ability to administer the unit locally. I don't want to use any kind of "cloud" or remote admin interface. Can the 100H be administered locally without need for cloud or…

Is the new OS similar to the old USG40 OS or is there a steep learning curve? Harder or easier? Thanks for your help by the way.

Right now I am getting around 300 to 400mb/s but for this cost I would like to get something that could do around 1 gb/s just in case my speed goes up again. USG40 just can't handle those speeds. So the "H" series is the same kind of thing but more powerful hardware? Same OS I assume? Would I be able to migrate the config…

Thanks for that answer. I appreciate it but, it doesn't really completely answer my question. The problem I have is that the manual says that it turns of or bypasses things "such as" and then lists them. But it doesn't actually list say what all it bypasses. So enabling that setting "may" compromise my security … or it…

Thank you. I did see that in the help file but unfortunately that does not answer my question. Or at least I do not completely understand that because that is from a technical perspective and not quite what I was looking for. What I want to know is what is disabled or bypassed by enabling this setting? Is it only UTM stuff…
