Thanks for the replies everyone but this thread was answered early this year. The 1250 does have a fan, the v1 firmware was … let's say, "not the best", and the v2.00(ABWE.0)C0 firmware solved most of the thermal issues although I'm waiting patiently for some refinements in the next firmware release. For what it's worth…

I was eventually able to both log in and submit a request. At the time I last wrote the mysupport site was not acting properly. It appears to be fixed now. Thank you for your assistance thus far.

Do you have a better link for US warranty return? The "mysupport.zyxel.com" portal won't let me log in and the "Support" chat link gives me an error when I try to use it. I don't need the warranty information, I need a "start RMA support request here" link if possible. Thank you for all of your help thus far.

I have tried Firefox, Vivaldi, and Chrome, all current versions, on Windows 10, Ubuntu Cinnamon 24.04LTS, and ESR versions of Firefox and Vivaldi on Windows 7, with extensions enabled and disabled, and Enhanced Tracking Protection turned OFF, on a total of 5 different machines, for a total of at least 20 different…

I suppose that I should also mention that I have tried updating firmware via the pop-up dialog immediately upon login, the "Maintenance > Firmware Package > Upload File > Browse and Upload" dialog, and the "Maintenance > Firmware Package > Cloud Firmware Information > Check Now" dialog. They all appear to update properly…

I use both a stand-alone infra-red thermometer and a Fluke thermal imager that's normally used for real data centers (at least the one I frequent). In a previous post I've discussed exposing thermal sensors to the web UI as well as SNMP support with Zyxel Community Support mods. Both switches are doing okay so far; no…

@Zyxel_Nami As far as temperature sensor data goes, what you present or log within any switch gear kind of depends on which temperature sensors you have, where, and how many. Presenting current fan speed and any/all temp sensor data would be useful (so long as it's properly labeled) for long-term tracking via SNMP as well…

Shared via PM. I'm using a pair of XGS1250-12 switches at the moment but would like to get a hold of a set of XS1930-10 or -12HP switches in the future, for edge scenarios in the data center.

@Zyxel_Nami Here's the current state of both switches: (All readings are in Degrees Fahrenheit) XGS1250-12 in Service Closet: Ambient Room Temp: 70.2 Port 1 Temp: 94.6 Heat Sink (Center) Temp: 96.7 Port 12 Temp: 97.0 Active Ports: 1, 9-11 Ports 9 and 10 = 5Gbps to Zyxel PoE++ Injectors Port 11 = 10Gbps, Cross-Connect to…

Where can I contact you with pictures of the 6 APs labels to have them removed from NCC? The recipe above seems to work consistently for me, whether that's a bug in the firmware or a feature, and I currently have no need for anything other than stand-alone mode, but if I gift one or two to a friend or family I suppose I…

The recipe seems to be; "Connect both the AP and a laptop (with WiFi OFF) to a small gigabit-capable switch (the PoE++ injector won't talk 100Mbps or less evidently), no internet connectivity, no DHCP, set your laptops Ethernet interface to 192.168.1.1/24, reset the WAX650S with a paperclip or jewelers screwdriver, hold…

After tinkering with it for a while I find that no internet access (only a laptop and a cross-over cable to the PoE injector) and letting it time out after some time longer than 15 or 20 minutes, I am able to log in to the UI and disable NCC and configure stand-alone mode. Is there a documented procedure for this anywhere?
