  • Sorry PS - there are no records pertaining to the particular fixed IP address in the Zyxel logs - and I've got no idea which DHCP address the device was trying to use even if it actually got one
  • Yeah - I'm wondering if there is a DNS thing separate from the blocking thing. As the DNS is inboard from the Zyxel there should be a disconnect between making a fixed IP connection to the network and making a connection to the Internet where the latter requires DNS authorisation - however that fixed IP address is in the…
  • Take my comments with caution as I'm fumbling around with a new interface as well. Are you plugging all your devices directly into the Zyxel or do you have a separate switch that provides more network ports? If you are plugging the device into the Zyxel then I think you need to configure only the LAN ports - which stands…
  • Harska - you are clearly talking rubbish - not the least since I have a mobile phone beside me now connected to the main USG60W Wi-Fi which is picking up DHCP from a Centos server. And to get it to do this look at network resources inside the DMZ I had to go to the configuration and give that particular SSID lan access…
  • "There is no way to make ZyXEL to distribute the DHCP addresses of DC" - really?
  • Ah! Thank you for that. I think we will allow our temporary subscription to lapse as I'm not sure we need that kind of sophistication for our architecture - however we do know a couple of people who do
  • Okay - DC that runs DHCP now has Internet access as well as network access. Put the Zyxel back on the network and it is not dealing DHCP addresses from the DC Is there any way of nominating the IP address of the DC that runs DHCP in this Zyxel so forcing it to use it?
  • Thank you - I have just discovered that the DC running DHCP does not have Internet access for some reason. Work in progress! In the meantime I have put our previous gateway device back on the system as that has been reliable for two years. But are you suggesting turning on DHCP on the USG60W? Oh no I forgot - this is what…
  • No one? I've changed the Guest to always on and now the bloody thing is not serving any WiFi at all.
  • Sorry - should have said - we have DHCP supplied by Windows 2012 server is also a DC of course and we do not use our subnet for the guest Wi-Fi as we cannot work out how to fix this
  • Thank you - I will have a poke around. One issue seems to be that although I have logging chosen for my NAT/port 25 traffic, they do not seem to be any reports from it - do you have any idea why that might be? For the avoidance of doubt there is traffic flowing through that port over that NAT arrangement
  • I just tried downloading again - the version that is suggested on the myzxel interface - and yes I do know the model number that I have - and the upload failed again with the same error message You are wasting my time! Confidence in your product slipping away
  • Why would I try to update with the my box's current version which your arrow points to? It already has v4.25
  • "erno 42007" !
