Ty @Mijzelf, gonna check that as soon as possible. It's spinning really slowly... No warnings or beeps. It's shutdown ATM and I'm gonna try to see if bearings are worn out or it's just goind to die. But that has to wait until weekend or next week...

Looked for same about a year ago for MySQL (more or less) and gave up after a while. MySQL (actually moved to MariaDB) is now located on a Raspberry Pi4 (4GB is more than enough for my needs) together with Pi-hole. Works flawlessly and easy updates without any hassle! So currently my NAS452 is just that: a NAS!

A quick update: Zyxel's 'Mirror' and 'Publish' Doesn't preserve dates for folders... Some weird "bug" Files seems to be handled properly. Luckily Robocopy can handle and preserve both dates correct.
-
AFAIK the 'Mirror' option removes all 'orphan' files (not on source NAS) whilst 'Publish' just copies everything so I don't see why not use 'Mirror'. I'm just a bit worried about date attributes (created, modified & accessed) on synced files. The last option is to use 'Robocopy' with "/DCOPY:DAT /COPY:DAT" options... :#

Ok, thanks! 4 disks to replace then... (I actually thought there were some HW updates on 542)
-
Well, MariaDB (10.3) on 2GB RPi 4 together with Pi-hole does the job and updates as required!
-
TY @nintendoeats Too bad that it runs an ancient MySQL version... :s An update to more recent version would be magic, ATM I moved out my DB's to RPi instead.

When it comes to Twonky, I have no idea. Never used it... As long as file name matches the title tag and files are playable (PC, tablet, ...) that part is OK.
-
How does a PC and/or tablet (cellphone) show names and file tags?
-
I did that in two steps; 1. Changed filenames according to KODI naming conventions. I.e "Movie name (year)" Like: "Lady and the Tramp (2019)" 2. Run a script that set's correct title-tag in all MKV-files. <div>@ Echo Off </div><div>REM This script takes all mkv files in the current directory and sets the filename as file…

@Mijzelf : TY!
-
Any idea(s) of how they attacked the NAS? Unprotected/weak cloud services?
-
Below script takes all mkv files in the current directory and sets the filename as the mkv-file title. Requires installation of MKVToolNix. I'm using Kodi compatible naming for all movies, I.e. <moviename> (year).mkv. ( It Chapter Two (2019).mkv ) and it works flawlessly. <div>@ Echo Off </div><div>for %%f in (*.mkv) do (…
-
I'm using a tool for that: MKVToolNix (https://mkvtoolnix.download/index.html) It's pretty simple to re-encode MKV's with correct tags from the filenames.

Some TV and media players does use the file 'Title' instead of the file name. AFAIK does at least MKV container and MP4 support 'Title'.
