Thanks for the info, @Zyxel_Stanley. When can we expect the next (official) firmware release for the USG firewall family? The last two releases were hotfixes, without official changelogs included.

I would disagree... I've been using ZyXEL devices for the last 10 years, and for the last couple of years firmware releases had introduced new bugs (password lockout, NAT 80/443 port problems, WiFi dropping just to name a few), so I always wait a couple of months after a FW is released before using it in production…

C:\fakepath is okay, your USG40 has two firmware "banks" that can be flashed and booted from independently. Have you tried "Rebooting" the bank with the V.33 firmware?
