@PeterUK Seems you're having your own issues. Best of luck getting them resolved. According to the datasheet, 5G should be capable of 300 Mb/s on this device. My connection is 200Mb/s, I'm seeing better performance on 2.4G 45Mb/s (same as you & as expected). I have a Unify AP I've just tested and I get incredible speed, I…

@PeterUK I would be interested to know how your 5G signal and performance looks in comparison to the 2.4G. I've split them into two separate SSIDs so I can tell them apart, and using my wifi analyser checked that the signals are indeed true to their respective protocols (they are).

Hi, I will send the requested info tomorrow Emily. I've just switched to the old firmware (4.10) and everything works perfect, same settings. 5G & 2.4G working at the same time. The only remaining issue is 5G has 2 bars signal compared to 2.4G, doing performance testing shows 5G is slower than 2.4G... Despite being right…

Its possible, but on all 3 to have the same issue what are the chances, right out of the box. I have 4.10 so will try running that later this eve out of hours and see how I get on. otherwise, I'll just have to order separate APs and if that's the case, I will seek another manufacturer out of principal.

Coming back to this after a few years, I got to the bottom of it myself. The MTU size needed to be set to 1472 as the carrier (EE) doesn't support 1500. In case anyone else gets this issue in future. I never resolved the issue with 5G wifi, which I am now doing with different devices in another thread.

@Zyxel_Emily I understand. However, I am using a wifi-analyser that shows all broadcast signals. I have created a different SSID to broadcast 5g... This does not come up with the wifi analyser or on the laptop or iphone. In the Zyxel Ap information, it shows 0 on 5g stations. As I said, if I disable 2.4g - then 5G starts…

@PeterUK Exactly, my company have been a ZyXel partner since 2013, and we've used ZyXel since 2009. US60W when it first came out was excellent. I recall setting up an office of 10 users that connected only to that via wifi. These recent models on the 'latest' firmware have poor wireless range... and poor wireless…

Emily, So you are telling me that 5G will only work if 2G is disabled? This is ridiculous. We have some legacy devices that only work on 2G. The unit has two radios, why can't both work? At a colleagues site that runs firmware 4.10 I've seen 2G and 5G working at the same time. This is clearly a bug that should be given…

Hi, I have 3 devices, same issue all different firmware versions. I've tried upgrading firmware - no luck. Will try an older firmware and hope for the best lol

No, it's not my side - it is the ZyXel USG60W that is the issue. As I said I have 3 and all 3 have the same symptoms. My link speed is 130 Mbps and wifi signal is at full speed across all devices. I have disabled 5G and I now get reasonable download speeds on the Windows 10 Laptop. However... all android devices (An LG…

It's august 2019 and I having a very similar issue with USG60W on latest firmware... after 5 days of playing with different configurations and swapping from one USG60W to another (I have purchased 3 for 3 new sites)... I think I will also be sending them back if this is not resolvable. But first I will post my question…
