  • The main issue was packet dropping, not rebooting. So the devices in network lost connection for 15/20 min on random times (sometimes 1 time a day, sometimes more often, sometimes not at all). And this is the issue that did not occur for the whole week last week, thus I hope it is solved and was caused by the sonos devices…
  • 1 - V5.00(ABUH.2) - should be latest 2 - Sonos speakers are all wired and they are the first ones to drop (well they notice those the first because they continuously play radio). So yes, everything drops with wired connections. Currently, I have no log yet, also the AP issue is currently resolved. Also the main issue did…
  • I tried your suggestion but we still had the same issue after a while. In the meantime we bought a new USG Flex 100 to replace the USG 40 as it was going EOL, hoping that would help while we were at it. The flex is installed since Saturday, yet unfortunately, it gave the same issue today. Do you have any suggestions? Are…
  • Hi, 1; Not sure, is has been going on for a while, even more than a year. On and off. 2; Same, not sure. Updating firmware was the only thing we did in the last years of running the USG40. Settings were not changed. 3; I added packet captures to the previous pasted…
  • Latest firmware: yes I have added images and config exports to my Dropbox link as i'm not entirely sure what you mean. Edit: I assume they moved the utp from P2 to P3 by mistake when they wanted to reboot, so that might explain the wrong subnet. I have moved it back now to P2, but the problem of random internet drops would…
  • Hi Nebula_Freda, Thanks for the info! Currently I heard that everything is good so far (after changing DCS and Security setting), so I hope the issue is resolved. If not I will report back! Thanks for the help so far.
  • I'll try the commands when I can, the annoying issue is that I'm not at the location and can't connect remotely. But when going through the config yesterday, I did not see an option to select the security setting, other than WPA or no WPA (at the top of the below window), and also the cipher type. I'll get back to you when…
  • Setting up a second SSID with AES on the same radio didn't work, when connected to the new SSID it did not provide internet. I have now adjusted the DCS setting and also the security on the original SSID. At least I think, the only option I saw was setting the 'Cypher type' to auto or AES, is that correct? I send you…
  • Could it be that the firewall/switch needs an update as well and could that impact the AP? There is a Zyxel USG 40 and a Zyxel GS1920-24 and it's firmware is probably very outdated as well.
  • I did the update of the AP tuesday and right there and then it seemed to be ok but I wasn't really capable to test extensively. Today I hear that the disconnection issue happened again yesterday evening while just browsing. I still can try the DCS option though because adjusting the default setting wouldn't let me save it…
  • FYI, there is one payment terminal device connected, I'm not entirely sure, but I think that one requires TKIP. Would it help to set up a different SSID just for that one and another SSID for the devices that are able to handle a better protocol?
  • Thanks @Nebula_Freda for the detailed solution. I will try this and report back!
  • What do you mean exactly with the version? Below image of the bottom of the device. There is no issue when one desktop PC and a payment terminal are connected. When a extra laptop pc is connected, the issue occurs and the AP drops the connections. I'm not at the location right now so I'll get back to you asap with a full…
