Thanks Mijzelf, after a lot of experimenting and endless restarts, I finally succeeded using the LocalRepo method. An important addition to your description of the process: as I realized, in the LocalRepo's ZYPKGS file the name of the package must be different of the main repo's name. At the first dozen of tries I was…

Thanks Mijzelf, you are the best, as always :-) The PHP package removal from the init.d solved my problem, but as a lesson to the others here my answers: I'm using the following repo: http://zyxel.diskstation.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/fw4_stock_packages/ because the url I used before has disappeared:…

Thanks Mijzelf, you saved my day, again! When I tried to power on without HDD, I've realized, that the top led is blinking for a minute or two and then stays on, but I cannot find the device in my local network. When I tried to pull & plug the power cord, I saw the network cable is loose in the router :-) So it was worked…

Yes, it works, but you missed a dot. So the correct url: http://metarepository.tk/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/

Oh yes, finally it works - again. So, I ran all 3 sh scripts from /opt/lib/2.6.24/, started the new samba (/opt/etc/init.d/S09ZyXELSambaReplacement start) and voila! No need to install anything else. Thanks again!

Nope, /opt/bin contains only the opkg executable. /opt/usr is empty. I walked through all the folders in /opt and in some other places, too. Nothing similar than restore_2.6.24_support.sh Don't apologize, you've already helped me a lot. :-) Thanks!

Hello, OK, I think, I'm understand the compatibility problems. When I changed the repository list to metarepository.tk, I think, nothing changed (probably my DNS can handle the old name, too). Here is the install console: root@Nasi:~# /opt/bin/opkg install zyxel-samba-replacementInstalling zyxel-samba-replacement (3.6.25)…

Hello Mijzelf, A few weeks ago you helped me fix my NSA320S not showing the package list. After it I successfully installad SMB2, but 2 days ago after 2 power failures the Samba2 failed. No error message, but the Samba1 started and I've never reinstalled again with the same method. Now I have exactly the same problem I…

Now I'm brave enough to install Entware-ng and samba as in your forum topic (https://zyxel.diskstation.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24) and it works for the first try! I'm so happy now and I'm really appreciate your help!

Yes, yes, yes!!! You are the best! It works!!!! So, the telnet backdoor works fine: I've installed it after I bought the NAS. With basic linux knowledge I can edit files, has ssh access, mcedit is much easier the vi :-) Finally I have edited the /usr/local/zy-pkgs/etc/MetaRepository.conf file and added the repository…

It's a hard question: which packages I've installed more then a year ago... I found an Installed.list file, and it's content is very familiar: I'm sure, that I've installed MidnightCommander, PHP-MySQL-phpMyAdmin (I think it was a factory default), PlexMediaServer (never worked correctly, I want to remove it, but it runs…

Yes, there is the ZYPKG_INFO.tgz file in the correct path, it is extractable, the ZYPKGS file is like yours. Anyways, it looks fine. Whats next?

Sorry my last repeated post, but I realized late that the post will only appear after verification. So, yes, I have that directory with a slighly longer name: http___zyxel.diskstation.eu_Users_Mijzelf_zypkg-repo_fw4 And yes, there is a dash character inside. It's content: -rwxrwxrwx 1 nobody nobody 389 Aug 26 09:59…

Thanks for the fast answer! No, my problems starts before I can do anything, because when I started to try to install Entware Samba, I realized, that the package list is empty :-( Now I tried to rename MetaRepository directory as you mentioned, and yes, it created again after reboot and page refreshed. And created another…
