Do you intend to RAID for two HDDs? if no, just create a new volume on second one, the original one would be just fine.
-
You can try re-format the disk on other device. It should be applied in Linux file system format like EXT4. https://kwilson.io/blog/format-a-linux-disk-as-ext4-from-the-command-line/
-
Maybe the file system of the HDD is incorrect? is it NTFS / EXT4 / FAT32?
-
How about replace with another disk? does it help?
-
You may have to press the button until one "beep" to reset. Have you tried that?
-
Change another cable for another try? sometimes it just can't fit on specific devices
-
HTTPS? try configure SSL and CA in NAS to make it trusted by your browser.
-
Go to "Twonky Media Player" in NAS web-gui. Finish the twonky server setting, then you should be able to see the NAS in network.
-
Can you check SMART info of the HDD, maybe it's in bad health condition so not allowing to write anymore.
-
It cleans the setting only, the data on disk will stay.
-
Check network settings, make sure you configure the correct IP address for the gateway and DNS in your network.
-
How about another port? are both two ports on your NAS not able to get 1G speed? And try fix at 1G speed on both side of link? NAS540 <---> Switch, Router Maybe it's HW issue...
-
Hi, I would suggest reset to clear all existed setting to refresh the whole NAS system.
-
It seems the poor cable quality cannot meet 1G speed but you still manually fixed it. Have you tried cross-test (cable and port) to rule out the cause?

NAS326 is linux-base system which doesn't require disk de-fragmentation like windows system. So there is no such feature/APP on NAS326.
