I am also very interested in having MAC Based VLAN feature in Nebula. Would also like it combined with a compound authentication feature. https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/24089/nebula-switch-authentication-supports-compound-authentication-configuration

Although I am disappointed by your confirmation 😪, thank you for the reply Melen. I have another related question. I suspect I already know the answer to it 😆 Using Microsoft Network Policy Server (NPS) I can configure authenticated devices to be forced onto a specific VLAN. This works great when the switch port is set to…

I found this document which explains the Compound Authentication, feature. Yes, what I would like is the Compound Authentication in Loose mode (clients need to pass EITHER 802.1x or MAC authentication to access network). But it seems the GS1920 range doesn't support it? This pages suggests only the GS2220, XGS2210, and…

Hi Melen, I am using the GS1920 switches.

The Nebula Cloud Authentication works well, but it would be good to be able to use the external radius server / 802.1x to automatically authenticate domain connected computers, as it's more secure and avoids the need to manually add the MAC address of every new computer to the allowed list. But I still need to use MAC…

Switching, Item 3 "Added Hardware Monitor feature shows temperature, fan speed, and power source status." I cannot find this. Is it on the summary page for each Switch? I'm using the GS-1920 range, maybe it's not available for them?

This works well, easy to use, and improves the security of the network. A few questions and observations. What is the purpose of the "MAC limitation" setting? I've tried increasing and decreasing the number, but cannot see what it does. If I have an authorized, active device plugged into a port on the switch, and I then…

I see with the release of Nebula Control Center v17, that Nebula Cloud MAC Authentication has been rolled out to more models of switch, incuding the GS1920 range that I have :) Is there any guide on how to go about configuring it? As above, I can go to Confugure > Switches > Authentication I can choose "Nebula cloud…

Nebula Control Center v15.1 was released today. The 3rd item of the patch notes for switches looks promising. There is now a new menu option in Switches > Authentication Not sure how this is supposed to work. I can choose "Nebula cloud authentication" from the drop down menu and fill in the Authentication policy settings.…

Hi, Also interested in this feature. Are Zyxel making any progress with it? It's almost there. I can go to Switch > Clients > Select a Client > Policy > Block List and the device is blocked from communicating. Just need the opposite of this so that all devices are blocked by default and have to be Allowed.
