xfs, unregistered windows 10 is enough. I have a spare laptop with win10 and used it to upgrade. U can download windows iso from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO

And of course copied the file to the root C:\

.. and it worked 🙂 I renamed the file as firmware.bin as did someone else here when upgrading some version of GS1200. That maybe pointless, but thought maybe there is some magic in it.

Directly, no VPN and the file from the product page. I'll try upgrade from a windows computer and how it went.
