  • I think this might have been resolved. I think the headings need to be Cell_ID but the previous example showed it as Cell ID. When I used Cell_ID, the masts appeared on the map. 😁
  • Many thanks for your efforts and reply. I managed to take the router to another more urban location (West Denton, Newcastle) and powered it up there. The router connected with 5G-NSA and showed very strong signal (cell info attached). So this said to me that the router, firmware and sim all worked with 5G. It seems to me…
  • I'm sorry - I seem to have hijacked this thread it's another issue. If you are asking about the WiFi settings page, I think this was fixed in the latest firmware release .17 v1 which you can download from the firmware page?
  • Thanks for your reply. What you are describing is exactly what I did. With firmware version .15 installed, it says I have a 5G-NSA connection and the light on the top is blue. With firmware version .17 installed, it says I have a 4G connection. I don't know whether I have a 5G connection or not, or whether .15 or .17 is…
  • OK, its definitely that the .15 firmware identifies that I can have a NR5G-NSA connection (although all of the signal is LTE, with no 5G signal) and that the .17 firmware says that I cannot have a 5G connection, only 4G. When I first switched to .17, I think I had probably selected 5G as the chosen band, so the service…
  • I think maybe I have slightly more understanding. With version .15 installed,I was experimenting with the cellular band fixed in 5g - either SA or NSA. The connection showed on the router as 5g-NSA. However, with .17 installed (same network connection), 5G-NSA does not work. The connection needs to be 4G in order to…
  • OK, I've got the captures, upgraded to .17 and repeated the captures. I've attached them in the hope they help. If you think they reveal any information that I shouldn't share publicly, feel free to delete them from your end. Having repeated the upgrade, so far I haven't experienced the same poor service. Maybe doing an…
  • OK, so I tested switching the Ext Ant switch, without any external antenna attached. My theory was that the router would lose the 5G connection but fall back to 4G, still using the internal antennae. However, that's wrong. The router lost its connection entirely. So switching the Ext Ant switch appears to disable the…
  • Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have used that format, but nothing happens. There is no confirmation about whether it has worked or not. There is no mark on the map showing the mast. Nothing. Of course, this could mean it has worked - but that it doesn't do anything. I'm not sure what the map facility does. But there are…
  • It's quite tricky to describe, mainly because it was so dramatic compare to when the V1.15 is installed. Simply put, the connection was unuseable. It was so slow, often it seemed as though there was no connection. I have a basic speed detector on my phone and it seemed as though it was using all the bandwidth to ether…
  • Many thanks for that. I installed it when I got your message. I'm afraid it seemed to give me terribly slow and unreliable service. So I've reverted to the previous working version (V1.15(ACGD.3)C0). I'll wait to hear what other people say and do some more testing myself. I just thought I'd let you know my first impression…
  • I've just bought one of these routers and am eagerly looking forward to getting it in a week's time. I guess the general message is don't upgrade to FWA510_1.17(ACGD.0)C0 until the fix is posted? I normally upgrade everything as soon as I get it, so this is a bit different. I hope it doesn't auto update. Any idea when the…
