one issue with the inverter method of DC-AC-DC will be loss of energy and unreliable power output since the inverter im using is not pure sine wave. Thats why i try not to use the inverter for small power appliances like this. cos the output power from a direct DC is smaller and more simple.

Thanks Tony for the help. Yeah, i cant seems to find the nominal voltage range for the NR5103E router. The last suggestion and post is indeed applicable but i am already using 12v DC from the solar. So was thinking it will be best if i can use 12v DC directly into the router.
