That '[ -f' will be the problem. Somehow the shell doesn'y support that. Yes. When connecting via Telnet I get this shell version: BusyBox v1.17.2 (2017-06-08 14:04:41 CST) built-in shell (ash)

Thank you Mijzef for this valuable and well composed info! In these options can I leave the existing storage disks as they are (I will backup before making changes)? In the case of using either Debian or Entware-ng, will they recognize the my current storage disks as they are now without the need of formating them?
