I have the exact same issue. I have enable SNMP for the site (V2) and set a unique public user and I can't even ping the router not to mention gather SNMP statistics from it. What is going ion here?
-
This did fix the issue. I guess I do not understand what IP/Mac binding is. I thought it was the ability to set DHCP reservations for devices. Obviously that is incorrect.
-
Bella,You had stated that you would give me an email address to send these files to. Have you provided that?
-
If you can explain what 'diagnostics' you need and how to collect them and give me an email address I may be able to accommodate your request.
-
I wish it was that simple. That would mean there is some mechanism to differentiate between statically assigned addresses and dynamically assigned addresses, and there just is no such thing on place.
-
Bella,The network this resides on is built on a LAN port on a ZyXEL ATP 500 and as such has a default route to the Internet. There is no filtering or firewall rules which apply differently for the DHCP scope vs. the entire network. There are two DHCP reservations defined, one for a printer and one for a wireless VoIP…

Policy rules on the gateway? Like what? What policy could possibly disallow setting static IP addresses on an AP? Please explain what kind of policy you are suggesting.
-
So there is no use at all for a device with the ability to set a static IP address, Peter? Look, my friend, you are missing the point. There is a functionality in the management interface which is not working.
-
Not helpful. Making a DHCP address a reservation leaves the device within the scope. By your reckoning there would never be a need to set IP addresses statically on anything. We are talking about a common functionality that is given by the Nebula interface to do what administrators need done on the devices under…

The request has been made and the Org is Momentum Physical Therapy and the site is Ft. Lauderdale. Again the IP network is 10.222.70.x/24 with a DHCP scope of .100 to .130. You can use any address below .100 except the gateway of .1
-
Thanks for the comment. Is there a way of logging into the AP locally. I can get to the interface but admin/1234 does not work for the local login. I tried my Nebula creds and they fail also.

Please explain what precisely is wrong with the IP address assignment defined here.Is ZyXEL saying that a class A address assignment cannot be made to a subnet of a class A with a 24 bit mask?
-
Thank you for explaining how to set a static IP address on an AP. However, the issue is that when I do this it returns the error indicated. The device sits on a 10.222.70.x/24 network with a DHCP scope from my ZyXEL router set for .100 to .130 range. The device grabs an IP address from the available scope which allows for…

This is wrong, but thanks for the attempt.
