Microsoft's Split Tunneling caused other issues such as loss of access to host ressources, connectivity to server & office computers, i had to take it off and add a route (thanks to Miguel from ZyXel)
-
I was able to resolve the issue by enabling split tunneling on the windows client side...Basically i believe this is a routing issue that can be resolved by enabling split tunneling on the ZyXel side as well but no one's available at support, apparently everythone's on the phone already and many are sick

Uninstal MS updates KB5008876, KB5009543, KB5009566. Worked for me...

I called ZyXel support and said same a couple of weeks ago when i started having the issue, i spent hours on the phone we got nowhere..

Hi Montana, i customer can connect but cannot surf the new anymore after VPN connection, i think in my case there's a routing issue
-
I had the exact same issue with a client on a 20w and posted on several forums as well as on this one, there were some suggestions but nothing worked. I suggest you try setting up the VPN on another laptop and testing. ZyXel Support had no clue what's going on..…

It was working fine until Windows ver 21H2...

Anyone? Is this due to the fact that routers with ver 3.xx firmware behind a NAT are not compatible with Ms Chap ver2 ?
-
Many others having the issue... https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/337796/20h2-l2tp-vpn-connection-failure.html

Even tried PAP, i can connect fine from a Win 7 client but since ver 21H2 of Windows, none of my customers can use L2TP over IPSec for VPN

Hi, i believe the old ZyWall USG20w does not support CHAP v2? I tried both CHAP v2, CHAP, or Both...No Change!
