this is a good idea, if it can understand that you are already using ethernet backhaul.

Not really a confirms answer, sorry but...My understanding is that you need to put the ISP device into modem mode, which i can from Virgin Media but unsure about BT Hub. I myself was going to switch to BT in November (they now have 1GB in my area so can compete with Virgin). So I will be interested to see what you find…

Well i will be... I just checked the specs and it is indeed set to 100. I should have checked that the ports were set to that before even attempting. Guess that what i get for not looking close enough. I thought it was Gig port with 300 up and down, because 600 was the advertised. Time for a new homplug set. thanks James.
