Just to add, Panasonic was showing off their new PTZ camera, AW-UE160 at NAB Show 2023 this past week and after drilling the reps I was told that it's PoE++ Type 4. Their general 'tech specs' just show 'POE++' and we know of at least one installer thinking their current client POE++ Type 3 (60W) switches will suffice.…

4 - 8 ports. A couple ideal specs would be an 8 port switch (POE++90w x 4 + 4 RJ45) and 16+ port switch (POE++90W x 8 + 8-16 POE+).

To answer your question directly, we deployed the GS1900 series, and recently the GS2220 for Dante and with no rhyme or reason there would the occasional trivial drop out in the audio. It would be nice to be able to set IGMP QI to recommended setting to rule that out as the culprit.

When the query interval is large, the time required before multicast starts working properly becomes longer. I'm no expert but AVoIP, especially Dante, recommends this be set at 30seconds or lower, I'm guessing to prevent audio and video ‘artifacts’, drop outs, and signal degradation.

I was just looking for this same info to this question. Glad to see it already posted. thanks.

Yes! I know I have talked with you in message and also to Zyxel USA and they were going to relay this back to corporate. IGMP Query Interval setting is ideal for Dante and other AVoIP. Please bring this setting to the GS2220 and XGS2220 line-up.

That depends on one's definition of 'big'. Dante is the de facto digital audio IP workflow among many industries including Large venue concerts, corporate A/V, and House of Worship, etc. We use it all the time in our HoW and even Sports productions (Dante devices from Studio Technologies and Glensound). Here's a good…

Could you also send me the configs for Dante GS2220 series? I agree with mMontana, a video tut would be great idea to have for reference.
