Hi Judy - I've already opened a case with support, I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same issue. It's using NR5G-SA with 1x device connected, same SIM card and using nperf & Ookla for the tests.

it might be because EE ‘sleep’ their n78 cells from 01:00 until 06:00 in some locations. Unless you’re locked onto n78 it won’t switch back by itself when they ‘wake’ it up.

This is the spreadsheet for the module CA capabilities with this firmware, it can't do low and high band 5G bands together but can do low & low, high & high (n78+n78 for example)

Below is a link to a the latest firmware Quectel sent me last week, the NR5101 can't upload firmware in a zip file but the NR7101 might be able to: This is the latest module firmware, the reason the one I've got for the NR5101 is A04 will be because Zyxel probably had to tweak it to get it to work with the NR5101.

R13M4G is the latest firmware from Quectel, which I believe is available from the above website for the NR7101?

Hey! It's the same modem (RG502Q-EA) in both the NR5101 & NR7101 but I think the NR7101 uses DFOTA for module firmware upgrades, so this probably won't work.

UPDATE: Zyxel Support have provided me with the updated firmware image for the NR5101 (RG502QEAACR13A04M4G). Thanks Zyxel Support.

UPDATE: I've recently received the latest firmware from Quectel for the RG502Q-EA modem, which is now RG502QEAAAR13A03M4G. The main update being 5G CA. There is no way of updating the firmware with the *.zip file from Quectel on the NR5101 so I believe Zyxel will need to compile an image that can then be uploaded. Can…
