  Yes.buzzerc -s && mv /sbin/buzzerc /sbin/buzzerc.old Will stop the buzzer, and remove the possibility for the firmware to start it again. Till the next reboot.

  You can simpy cut the power. The filesystem is not mounted.

  You can add any directory, or url to an directory, which contains a ZYPKGS or ZYPKG_INFO.tgz file to let MetaRepository find it.
