Upgraded mine here tonite in NOrWAY and i jumped up from orange led lamp 4G to Blue 5G led lamp after upgrading the firmware to the latest one NR5101

i use ICE.no micro simcard they use telia.se i think instead of the telenor.no

Even my phone on Telenor network cant get 5G here (lol i left Telenor for ice.no) on the second of january.

Hope it last like this beacuse i went from 20Mb to 125Mb speed :-)

Re: VPN1000 not passing UDP packets, but will pass TCP packets on same port (Port 53)

Have finally got it working - UDP packet length cannot be longer than 1464 (testing with IPERF2, across a mobile network), otherwise there will be fragmentation, but no indications, just nothing in Wireshark logs or other indications.

Yepp! It was me setting PVID on wrong port. Setting PVID to 20 on port 4 (the correct and corresponding VLAN configed pport ) works as intended. I now got my 1-port virtual firewall serving a 250Mbit/s fiber connection.

At your own risk, you might want to look in the source code for any .h or .c files for busybox or udhcp and search for the limit of 32 in the source code.

Figured it out. The router was not recognising the EE SIM via auto APN, so APN had to be configured manually. Furthermore, EE appears to default to IP6, which the router does not appear to like. Forcing IP4 fixed it. Found the solution in https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360016970359-My-LTE-device-will-not-connect-via-Auto-APN-setting

USG Flex 200 as VPN client?

Hello,

Just to confirm, but it's not possible to use the USG Flex 200 as a VPN client?

I would like to redirect some URLs to a VPN tunnel.

Can't find anything so far, so I guess it's not possible.

Can you confirm?

Now I may have to be very ashamed! And apologize for wasting people time reading this.

It maybe be the very human factor messing things up by not being observant.

I "may" have looked at the config with crossed eyes... and set PVID on the wrong port!

PVID for port 3 lines up with VLAN ID 4... And port 3 have the access point I used to access the network, that explains the loss of all communication after setting PVID. Dhuh!

I'll leave this up here so you other can enjoy that "quick and wrong" action done here. I'm pretty confident that I get this working if I assign PVID to the right port.

No longer at the site. I'm not going forth with this as the equipment is there, don't want to jeopardize my access to the devices there.

I'll come back and confirm if I get a working config.

Hi,

You can use:
cfg cellwan_mapn edit --Index 1 --AP_Enable 0 to disconnect
cfg cellwan_mapn edit --Index 1 --AP_Enable 1 to reconnect

Index being the apn index from the gui.

USG Flex 200 can be part of a VPN tunnel connection as an endpoint device, but will never be a VPN client per se. When you draw a diagram of a VPN connection, you could in theory infer that all the devices on a subnet belonging to the USG Flex 200 are the clients, but it is rarely viewed as such in practice.

A true VPN client would be the SecuExtender VPN Client (https://www.zyxel.com/global/en/products/endpoint-and-connectivity/ipsec-and-ssl-vpn-client-secuextender-vpn-client ).
