Absolutely shocking! How can they send a replacement out in such poor condition? I've had RMA's from other manufacturers and they've always been new units.

The method you're using saves any recent changes from the 'Running Config' to 'Config 1' or 'Config 2', depending on which config you booted from. No, it's an unmanaged switch so it's not possible to configure VLANs. A managed switch like the GS1200 series will give you VLAN support. Could this feature be rolled out to other smart managed switch firmware updates please. I have XS1930-12HP and XGS1930-28HP switches.

Both the XGS1210-12 and XGS1250-12 will give you a minimum of two 2.5G capable ports plus VLAN support. Both of these should be considerably cheaper than $600 and have been available long enough to be even more reasonably priced in the used market. Thanks @Zyxel_Judy Given that you couldn't replicate the problem and therefore have no fix, a replacement may suffer from the same issue. Therefore I'll hang on to my switch for now and keep monitoring.
