Try reset them and pair again. But so far as I know there is not new firmware or upgrade tool, so if you still face the problem, then you should contact local support for repairing.

As I know the mail server is using TLS, not SMTP port 25, and the NAS is using SMTP port 25 only, therefore, you need to use the account which default uses SMTP port 25. You can try to reset both, default they are using the same group, then it can communicate to each other. If you would not like to use default group, press encrypt button 0.5 ~2.5 seconds, they should be able to sync and light the homeplug LED. Another way that you can use utility to configure the group to make they work.

Hi, Do you try to reset them? After reset, they will have the same group key, and you are able to see the Homeplug LED light and it means the 2 PLAs are connected. Moreover, you can press encrypt button within 0.5~2.5 sec, then the 2 PLAs will pair to each other, and you are able to use them in your network.

Hi, If you see there is firmware upgarde tool with PLA5456, that means you can use it to do firmware upgade. But if you doesn't meet any problem with your PLA, then I remmand you just keep using and no need to upgarde, because PLA is the bridge device in your electric circuit and under LAN, not directly to WAN.

Search Zyxel website for PLA4201, and seems there is not the tool for firmware upgarde, only utility and DAK modification tool: https://www.zyxel.com/support/DownloadLandingSR.shtml?c=gb&l=en&kbid=M-01359&md=PLA4201#searchZyxelTab4 So I think you may not possible to do firmware upgrade.

No power on? LED no lights? Can pair it to another one? Have you reset it and try again? Still in warranty? Yes, then send it to Zyxel RMA. If no, and you have tried different way, but no succes, then you man choose a new device for further use.

Hi, With your description, homeplug LED is lighting, then your both device should be linking success. What is your topology and how do you check the both not link up? If you plug both to socket and nearby each other, then can you see the internet workable?

Hi, I think is not possible to upgrade, since Zyxel didnot release any firmware and upgarde tool. If you would like to find any other way, then you can search its chip: Atheros AR7400, but not sure those tool can be 100% workable.
