Hi, thanks for answering. Yeah the led is blinking slowly and the disc are spinned down, so I am pretty sure it is not being accessed. My concern is not so much security, as is the noise- the fan is constantly running and in complete silence at night it is pretty disturbing. I don't really mind waiting for it to power on…

Hi, is your NAS326 sleeping completely? The discs go to sleep, but the device doesn't and the fan is spinning constantly which is pretty annoying. I know I can turn it off completely after some time, but not sure if there is a way to run wake on LAN automatically when someone tries to access the drive on network?
