We sent a request into Zyxel to have HQ look into this. The content filter policies and DNS content are no longer working. This is a significant problem and hopefully a router firmware patch can be released quickly.

We found the same problem on the Zyxel USG310 and USG Flex 50 routers. I didn't test any other models yet, these are the ones that we had reports that the content filter isn't working on. I'm guessing we have over a 100 routers with content filter subscription on them. So we need an update to fix this as trying to disable…

Try adding *cloudflare-ipfs.com to the forbidden websites.

Is this BT Broadband in the UK?

Looks like the v2 firmware works for v1.

What about firmware for GS1900-24HP ?

We have UAP-AC-Pro APs working fine on a GS1900-24HP switch.

I've seen this before, I think it was on the regular content filter, tho, not the DNS. Seems to vary on the amount of oooo's in google. I never did get to the bottom of it. No one ever complained about anything not working.

I would try blocking port 80 UDP as well.

The client is on a cellular connection and we determined the attack used up all the data. It's on tmobile and once you go over your data plan, it throttles the speed to 128kbps or so, making the internet unuseable.

I'm getting the 504 Gateway timeout on a USG 20VPN router that had the 5.36 Patch 2 applied last week. I suspect there's another vulnerability or the patch wasn't completely effective. I'll have to do more testing.

So far we've been able to get into the router after a restart and then run the firmware update. It's best practise to keep download a copy of the startup-config file for a backup.

You need to add *verizon.com *tello.com *att.com You will have to watch the logs under Monitor>Logs>Category>Blocked Websites to see what else is being blocked. Like he said, there may be many other domains that have to be allowed for the site to work.
