Must have missed that Jeff, great article.

Excellent article Jeff. Could you please also add once logged in, that upgrading to firmware 3.30 P9 (WK48) will allow unhindered access using Google Chrome, etc for legacy device model USG 50, USG 100 through to USG 2000: https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/4247/zywall-usg-series-v3-30p9-wk48-firmware-released

Just tested this, and in our case it is disabling "Interface Traffic Statistics" ensures Collect Statistics is not re-enabled. We can happily leave "Reset counters after sending report successfully" enabled. Give it a try and see if this works for you.

Hi Peter, Re the TIP you posted: Go to monitor > system status > traffic statistics and uncheck and apply collect statistics. Your speed will be 35-40% faster. This uncheck seems to only hold until the Daily Report is sent and then reverts back to checked again. Do you know how to permanently unchecked collecting traffic…

Still think this EOL model should be able handle better than what we are seeing - surely it must have been designed to handle larger WAN throughput than 100Mbps or why bother providing a Gigabit port for WAN. And yes I know Gigabit port doesn't means it can achieve Gigabit throughput from internet provider. CPU usage…

All disabled already ... you would think we would see better than 110Mbps for a 250Mbbps connection through the ZyWall.

Hi Peter, Yes re: 1Gb interface speed, however just wanted to show in this thread that the actual interface speed was full speed (1000FD) and hadn't negotiated back down to 100. Previous post highlighted that as a possible cause and should be ruled out, which is fair enough. And even though EOL, I can't find anywhere…

We have failover USG100's in place, they are very handy and used purely for firewall purposes. No use of VPN, Ant-Virus, Content Filter, etc with this model so we feel quite comfortable to continue to have this hardware in place. We will change hardware when we have the need however thank you for writing that once re:…

Hi Jeff and Fred (who posted earlier), Overnight applied Firmware 3.30 AQQ.7 WK48 to both USG100's, downloaded from here: https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/4247/zywall-usg-series-v3-30p9-wk48-firmware-released Now can successfully access/login to USG100 using latest Google Chrome, exactly as our preference was for…

Thanks Jeff, appreciate you checking out TLS versions on both. Who would have thought USG100 and USG20W would have differed with this - similar vintage original releases of both models back in the day. Looks like Edge and IE mode only option as we both agreed on, appreciate you clarifying.
-
Hi Jeff, I appreciate your feedback and yes as stated we have the USG100's accessible with Edge in IE mode. However, USG20W is same EOL legacy device as USG100, yet the USG20W is still accessible by our preferred browser Google Chrome. Is there any reason for for this as they are same family of legacy Zywalls?

Hi Fred, Didn't realise any firmware for USG100 had been released since 2015, I had given up checking for these older models. Is this the download location you used: https://community.zyxel.com/en/discussion/4247/zywall-usg-series-v3-30p9-wk48-firmware-released Regards
