maybe it could be something related to entware-ng?
-
i had to reinstall entware-ng as a whole with many reboots to get back smb1 working and then putting the replacement back in, that's how i fixed it, but this issue seems to pop up more more after some time of running, no idea why

also i've found the sessionid.tdb file to be located in "/var/locks/"
-
could it be related to the drive going to sleep after time of idling?
-
i haven't found it but it seems like the samba replacement stops working after a while. after a few days it goes to "can't open sessionid.tdb" again no idea what could this even mean, the sessionid.tdb, but i cannot use the nas anymore on windows cuz of this error

i didn't edit any file, i got it working by completely reinstalling the whole package but the utf8 error doesn't matter, the "Can't open sessionid.tdb" is probably big thing

i don't have it set up as bridge at the moment, i have it in routing mode with pppoe connection to isp gateway because otherwise with bridge mode ON, I wasn't able to get management of the VMG modem visible on my local network, only when i hooked directly into it's lan port. so practically I am double natting now, that's…
