Can't you make new network interface tied to the wan port directly?
-
my VMG4005 LAN settings:
-
My VMG device is connected only to my WAN port on the main router, so that means to make it visible on the network I had to make another WAN interface that works sort of like LAN but needs masquerading/NAT otherwise it wouldn't work. My main router is Cudy AX3000 running OpenWRT which allows for multiple interfaces on…

when the NSA310S loses unexpectedly power, it somehow invokes that sessionid.tdb error, atleast for me. i haven't managed to find out what else was making this issue
-
could this get fixed by just remaking that file on restart? cuz even with restart it doesn't fix the issue, only when i completely remove entware-ng and reinstall it from ground up
-
I think i've found what's causing this error. upon losing power unexpectedly and gaining power again it somehow ruins the samba replacement

Hello, i managed to get the management UI working through adding secondary WAN interface on my router: If you can do something like this in your router it should work!
-
Managed to make this working: I had to create another WAN interface with a static address in the same subnet as the modem and then it became accessible!
-
maybe it could be something related to entware-ng?
-
i had to reinstall entware-ng as a whole with many reboots to get back smb1 working and then putting the replacement back in, that's how i fixed it, but this issue seems to pop up more more after some time of running, no idea why
-
also i've found the sessionid.tdb file to be located in "/var/locks/"
-
could it be related to the drive going to sleep after time of idling?
-
i haven't found it but it seems like the samba replacement stops working after a while. after a few days it goes to "can't open sessionid.tdb" again no idea what could this even mean, the sessionid.tdb, but i cannot use the nas anymore on windows cuz of this error

bump, i have the same issue, i cannot access the vmg4005 anymore if it is in the bridge mode unless i hook directly into it's lan port, what can be done about this?
