USG20W-VPN Firmware Migration from 4.25 to 5.35
I recall upgrading somewhere FW around 4.31 or 4.33 where I got locked out of our USG20W-VPN, after updating FW.
I need to update customer's from 4.25 to 5.35 (and maintain configuration migration) without messing with existing configuration (including Port Forwards & VPN settings), or getting locked out.
I captured the article below that details FW migration, and I want to confirm this is still valid (article stops at 4.60). I have copies of most of the Firmwares, but I need to do this on a Saturday so I won't interfere with business operations.
I want to make sure this is done correctly so I don't have to do a system reset or use console to recover. I read other migration articles but some say you don't have to do interim upgrades (as detailed from article below):
Version 4.25 -> first upgrade to 4.32
Version 4.32 -> first upgrade to 4.33
Version 4.33 -> first upgrade to 4.35
Version 4.35 -> upgrade to 4.60
Can someone steer me in the correct direction. I am personally running 5.35, and it appears to be as stable as 4.65.

Simple question: did you audit your environment for already used 5Ghz channels? You picked 100 straight, i suppose there is a metric for that.
Moreover.
I don't manage any NWA-5123-AC-HD system but i setup a bandwidth limit on clients (SSID profile)
and also as default for 5GHZ networks there's a fixed multicast rate (radio profile)

make sure no dhcp server is connected (i.e. router etc.) to your switch, then try to factory reset again and check if 192.168.1.1 responds to ping. No specific port is needed at default.
Also you could download ZON utility from zyxel website to set a specific ip on the device

Its probably an issue with their database for the lookup of the serial numbers. Try contacting them directly via E-Mail support@zyxel.eu

I also had the same problem as you. I figurezout that the reason was the missing APN setting. You have to set the APN setting to manual, and then put in your operators APN data manually. In my case I am using 3mobile and therefor I have to put in : bredband.tre.dk as the APN adresss… then you try again and i works.
If uou have another operator you can find the specific APN setting at the operators web site…

Installed Zyxel Air and opened Air app, this screen shows up.
I'm connected to my home network not Unit wifi.
Tap screen and Quick Setup screen shows up.
Tap get started....
Tap manual set up.
Fill in ip and tap connect.
Write password you use in your home network and tap login.

Hi Selberg, Thanks for this, I had been through all of this a dozen times but the Login button wasnt allowing me to click it. I have now found a fix after a lot of messing. I uninstalled the Cellmapper app and switched off Bluetooth, I was then able to login and the app is working. Thanks for the help.

Thats where your going wrong when I say “one port on Zywall and VLAN the other subnets on it” I mean use ONE port like GE6 add a VLAN ON GE6 and another VLAN ON GE6 you don't need GE7 or 8
