Syntax for Exclude List in SSL Inspection

Hi, what's the difference in the syntax and result between the following two versions in the Exclude List for the SSL Inspection?

"\*.adobecces.com"

"*.adobecces.com"

\* used for one wildcard character.

*  used for multiple wildcard characters.

  

"\*.adobecces.com"  =  Adding this entry in the exclude list will exclude only the hosts with one character under adobecces.com domain.

 

"*.adobecces.com" = Adding this entry in the exclude list will exclude all the hosts under adobeecces.com domain.
