Hi,

i have a problem by connecting a XS1930-10 and a Mikrotik CSS610-8G-2S+IN using their SFP+ Ports, SR Transceiver and a LC Multimode OC3 Fiber Cable. The Transceiver are those one https://www.fs.com/de/products/11552.html?attribute=77&id=219724 and the Fibercable https://www.fs.com/de/products/41735.html.

The Mikrotik Switch regocnize the 10G Connection and a Full Duplex Modus. The XS1930 says in the system log:
3936 May 20 12:50:04 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3937 May 20 12:49:59 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3938 May 20 12:49:58 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3939 May 20 12:49:58 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3940 May 20 12:49:56 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3941 May 20 12:49:51 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3942 May 20 12:49:50 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3943 May 20 12:49:48 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3944 May 20 12:49:46 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3945 May 20 12:49:39 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3946 May 20 12:49:35 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F
3947 May 20 12:49:29 DE interface: Port 9 link down
3948 May 20 12:49:28 DE interface: Port 9 link up 10G/F

the hole time. I already changed the cable with a similar one and also the ports of both switch and also the transceiver with similar one. The XS1930 always say link up and down every seconds. I also tried changing Auto Negotiation to 10G/FULL Duplex in the Port Setup of the 1930. (The Mikrotik only supports Auto for 10G).

I also tried a DAC Connection with this cable -> https://www.fs.com/de/products/36822.html and getting the same Problem.

But if i changed the Portspeed on both switch to 1G Full Duplex, instead of 10G, all workes fine? No Port up and downs on the XS1930, just a stable connection.

Any Idea what could be the problem here? I know the Transceiver are working in the mikrotik switch and i think they also should work fine in the XS1930 or shouldn't they?
Do i have to change any configuration in the xs1930 web menue to get a stable 10g connection or do i have to change the transceiver for the xs1930? Which one would definitely work?

The firmwares on the two switch are up to date.

Best Regards
Tobias

    Hi @Ezar,

    Welcome to Zyxel Community!

Since there are various transceivers on the market, it is hard for us to test them one by one on our Switches.
Therefore, we recommend the user using Zyxel transceiver instead of 3rd party transceiver on our Switch and peer device.

If the same symptom still happens after using Zyxel transceiver, please help to collect tech-support file of the Switch and send us the file via private message.
It would be better for us to compare the logs if you can collect two times, one is at 10G-full port speed, the other is at 1G-full port speed.
You may download the tech support file from "Management > Maintenance > Tech-Support > All".

    Hope it helps.
    Jason
