After replacing my faulty SBG3300, I had difficulty loading the previous configuration file. Is it necessary to first restore the previous f/ware version for compatibility?

I would like to know what was the firmware version for your previous configuration?
Please private message your configuration to me for checking further.

I bought another used SBG unit, but when I tried to upload my latest former config. files it replied 'illegal...'. I tried with older configs. and one worked. I then updated to latest fimware (I don't recall the f/ware supplied) and all is well; my former settings including ipsec vpn all up and running now, thanks. Just intrigued to know why I had an initial problem.
