Hi Guys,

this morning we experienced a short breakdown of the Interfaces WAN1 with following log entries:

alert     Policy Route     Interface WAN1 dead, related policy rules will be disabled
alert     Policy Route     Trunk System_Default_WAN_Trunk dead, related policy route rules will be disabled

During this time the internet was not reachable from internal LAN. After some seconds the breakdown was over and all was working fine again.
The internet was available all the time. We've got an additional router ahead of the USG (AVM Fritzbox) whose log doesn't show any internet connection failures during this time.
Does anybody know such sporadically short-time failures?

Greetings
Joerg

If the device do failover on wan interface, the connection will drop-up in seconds.
Regarding to your description, Fritzbox's internet connection is fine, however USG's wan1 interface is down.
Therefore, I would like to know have you enable connectivity check on Wan1?
If yes, can you disable connectivity check and then monitor network connection.

    Hi Charlie,
Yes Connectivity Check was enabled. Now I have disabled it.
But in the meantime we didn't experience new causeless WAN deaths. We will monitor the behaviour during the next days and will report when something happen in this regard.
