The
benefit of Auto PD Recovery on GS1350 series is for Switch to proactively
detect mal-function PD and restart it upon detection to maximize network
services. During the PD firmware upgrade process, the PD may stop
responding to the Switch’s PD detection mechanism over ping or LLDP which
causes the Switch to restart the PD. We recommend users to disable the
Auto PD Recovery function on the Switch to prevent damages to the PD caused by
a power cutoff during firmware upgrade process.
