Hi,
got a Server at home, which connects only with 100mbit/s with my switch, connect it straight with my router I get 1Gbit/s.
Autonegotiation is active, if I force the Port on 1Gbit/s I get no connection at all.

    Hi @Pippin,

    Welcome to Zyxel Community!  :)

According to the cross-test you've made, please correct me if I'm wrong, you've used the exact same network cable and connect to the router, and the link runs at 1Gb.
And forcing the switch port speed duplex to 1G/full, there is no link at all, so could I say that there is no LED light in the front panel either, am I right?

Could you provide the server NIC specific model and version, so I could check the spec and make a local test if we have one.

    Thanks

    Hi Jonas,

I used the exact same setup, only changed from the Switch to the router.
With a forced port there is no link at all.

I use the onboard NIC of an Tyan Transport TA26 TA26B2932 Board.

    Hi @Pippin,

    Thanks for the NIC information.
Just would like to clarify, as you've mentioned before
"Autonegotiation is active, if I force the Port on 1Gbit/s I get no connection at all."
I assume that you had forced server NIC and switch port to 1Gb/full, right? not only one side.
If not, please help to force both ends to 1Gb and I would like to verify if the link will run on 1Gb.
Reminder: Forcing one side to 1Gb, will not link up is normal.

    Thanks
    Jonas,
