LTE3301-PLUS - asymmetric ping response times

Hi All,

I have a Zyxel LTE3301-PLUS router. I use mobile net (300Mb) and there is a wifi intranet containing some hosts and a printer.
The hosts can reach the internet with good speed via wifi. The problem occurs when I want to reach another host. The ping response time changes from 1ms to 1000ms and there is packet loss. The wifi network as intranet is not stable.

E.g. ping: host1 -> host2

$ ping 192.168.1.109 PING 192.168.1.109 (192.168.1.109) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 192.168.1.109: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=1046 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.1.109: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=35.3 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.1.109: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=528 ms 64 bytes from 192.168.1.109: icmp_seq=4 ttl=64 time=25.4 ms
And If I ssh into Zyxel router and ping back to the host the result is very bad:
ping: router -> host

From host to router it is fine:

$ping 192.168.1.1<br>PING 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.<br>64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=2.08 ms<br>64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=1.46 ms<br>64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=1.74 ms<br>64 bytes from 192.168.1.1: icmp_seq=4 ttl=64 time=1.65 ms
Settings :
  • RTS/CTS Threshold :  1500
  • Fragmentation Threshold : 2000
  • Beacon Interval : 100
  • DTIM : 1
I have tried many things without result:
  • 4 different computers
  • Moving router to other places
  • Changing band : 5G and 2.4G
  • Changing RTS/CTS Threshold and Fragmentation Threshold
  • Changing wifi channel (auto or some value)
  • Changing Bandwidth (20, 20/40, 20/40/80)
Does anybody has some idea why it is happening?

    Hi gabor2, I use two laptop connect to LTE3301-PLUS WiFi 5GHz SSID, ping from router to host and get the different result, it seems ping response time depends on the host. 

    ping router->laptop 1


    ping router->laptop 2
