Nebula Control Center provides the App Patrol that allows you to restrict popular applications in your environment. You can create different app patrol profiles for different addresses, schedules, users, or groups. This article will guide you how to deploy it.

Configuration steps

1. Navigate to Configure > Firewall > Security Service, click +Add to create an App Patrol profile.

2. Configure the App Patrol Profile

- Enter the name of the profile

- Select the category, such as Social Network

- Enter the application name such as Skype

- Press Create

3. Add a Security policy to apply the App Patrol profile.

- Navigate to Configure > Firewall > Security Policy, click +Add to create a rule

-Input policy name, select Allow from the Action drop-down menu, select the app patrol profile name and set protocol, source IP, destination IP, dst port, user, schedule.

Test Result

The host cannot send the message via Skype.

If navigating to Monitor > Firewall > Event log and you can see there is an App Patrol block message.
