USG110 - DebugLog + Settings for adapter SecuExtender
Hello,
could anyone please explain me two issues?
I.
Items from the Debug log of the Zyxel USG110 router?
(AAA .. EEE ... changed for security)
named: using 1 CPU
named: loading configuration from '/var/zyxel/named.conf'
named: listening on IPv4 interface lo, 127.0.0.1 # 53
named: listening on IPv4 interface eth0, AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD # 53
named: listening on IPv4 interface eth1, EEE.FFF.GGG.HHH # 53
named: listening on IPv4 interface eth3, 192.168.171.254 # 53
named: listening on IPv4 interface eth6, 192.168.3.1 # 53
named: command channel listening on 127.0.0.1 # 953
Appears to us a couple of times a day - I suspect this is a "warm" device restart.
II.
Settings in Advanced for "TAP-Windows Adapter V9 for Zyxel SecuExtender"
"Application Controlled" or "Always Connected".
Thank you in advance for the explanation when we have more relevant information,
I'm describing why I'm writing it.
Thank you, Václav

Hi @kyssling
(1) The debug log of USG means your device enabled the DNS function.
It means this device is in DNS proxy role and it will help to forwarding DNS query.
(2) The "Application Controlled" or "Always Connected" settings in media status.
These settings are the driver configuration of virtual interface. It will not triggers PC to establishing VPN tunnel.
You need clicking “connect” button to establishing SSL VPN tunnel manually.
