Hello, to use a passive PoE injector rather than power adapter for my NWA50AX, which voltage shall be used? The same 12.0V as on the included adapter?
Thank you

    Hi @dsl

For NWA50AX, its needed voltage is 12V for input, as the adapter show. The PoE requirement for NWA50AX, you may refer to the datasheet here: NWA50AX_6.pdf (zyxel.com)

Besides, you may consider Zyxel PoE injector PoE12-30W (PoE12-30W - Overview | Zyxel Networks).

Hope this get you well :D

  • Hi, I have the same question. The PoE specification on the PoE injector doesn't specify the injected voltage, and the same goes for the NWA50AX. I've seen that in my country they are actually sold as a bundle, but I'm still not sold on the accepted voltages

    Hi @sweetsuicide

The NWA50AX requires a PoE power of up to 16W. The PoE injector, the PoE12-30W, supports the IEEE 802.3at standard and offers up to 30 watts of power budget, which is more than sufficient for the NWA50AX access point. This setup ensures that the AP will receive adequate power for its operation.
