USG Flex 700 - Web Page blocked?
We've got a problem with our new USG Flex after replacing our USG110 where we didn't experience this problem.
Just tried to call YouTube by typing youtube.de. Normally this URL will be redirected to https://www.youtube.com/DE or something like this. But we get the answer
Web Page Blocked!!
You have tried to access a web page which belongs to a DNS Filter category that is blocked.But also in case we deactivate all filters or add youtube.de to
Content Filter > Web Content > Trusted websites or
Content Filter > DNS Content Filter > Allow List
the "Webpage blocked" note appears every time.
Pinging youtube.de works fine and returns the IP 54.83.63.70

OK, thanks for your update. We think it could be a temporary cache issue in your environment. If it still has a problem in the next few days, please let us know. Thanks.But this morning we were able to call youtube.de without changing anything. Maybe something remains in a cache. We will further observe.

Wish I knew the right answer here, but I am only guessing for now: Could it be that you have to type in the exact and complete URL in your whitelist and content filter to allow the correct pages?0

I could type whatever I want, https://www.youtube.de or https://youtube.de or http://youtube.de. It doesn't matter. Website keeps blocked.

Hi @USG_UserCan you type the URL https://www.youtube.de to test the URL belonging to which category on the USG Flex 700?We checked it belongs to Streaming Media and Media Sharing categories on Web Content Filter.You can check if you already disable Streaming Media and Media Sharing categories on Web Content Filter.Besides, it belongs to Streaming Media category on DNS Content Filter.You can check if you already disable Streaming Media category on DNS Content Filter.

Hi Jeff,Thanks for your answer. I'm aware of this testing opportunity and Streaming Media has already been unchecked. But all filter categories are irrelevant as long as no filter has been assigned to a security policy in Policy Control. And that behaviour was confusing. But this morning we were able to call youtube.de without changing anything. Maybe something remains in a cache. We will further observe.1
