Hi all, is my first post here, so maybe if I get something wrong please tell me.

I have a new GS1920-48HP switch, just started the configuration.

It needs to run vlan 1 and vlan 20 (used for voice). I am noticing an unusual behavior, if I connect a device (e.g., a phone) to the switch port and then cascade a computer to the phone, I have bandwidth locked at 100 mbps, if the computer is connected directly to the switch instead I have the maximum bandwidth available from the router (my connection is mixed-copper at 200 mbps). Am I doing something wrong with the vlan configuration? Is there a traffic shape that is turned on by default? I also have another peculiar behavior, the activity LEDs do not light up, I only see an amber LED appear when I connect a POE device to one of the switch ports. The traffic is handled correctly and the network is available but the LEDs are all off except for the PWR LED which is solid green, SYS which is solid green, and Cloud which is flashing instead because I have not paired the switch with Nebula.

    Hi @liuck1975,

The GS1920-48HP has a PoE mode button on the right of the front panel.

When it is on, the port LED will display the PoE status. When it is off, the port LED will display the link speed. I think this button is on now.

    Hi @liuck1975

forgive the silly question… but isn't it that your phone has only 10/100 ports and not gigabit?

    Hi @liuck1975,

What's the link speed of your IP phone? It is more likely the IP phone causes your PC to get unexpectedly low bandwidth.

For the LED part, could you help to take a photo for me to clarify? Thanks.

Hi all, the phones are cisco model 6851 and have gigabit ports. Therefore, it is not a link speed problem

    Hi

excluding the low quality of the patch cord, amber ligth should means 100 Mbit link. You could chech the port link status on your GS1920. Or you could change "Speed / Duplex" configuration in "Port Setup" from "Auto/1000" to "1000M/Full Duplex". With this configuration if the link drops dows you should investigate around cable/ phone

    Hope this can help

Hi Fred, I think you are making a mistake. The orange LED indicates that
the port is delivering current. The links on those ports are also
gigabit. Tested directly by taking a laptop and connecting it to any of
the Ethernet ports. The link turns on at 1000 mbps but there is no
visual indication via led. On the other hand, if I connect a phone or
any poe device to the port, only the orange led comes on.

Gosh.. i fear something is missing there… 🤔

As far as i know every port has 2 led: one for link/speed and one for poe indication as mentioned in user guide…

I was referring to the link/act led status.

So, no green light when you connect a laptop directly?

Correct. But I can reach and contact all the devices on my network
(access points, servers, laptops, desktops, printers), all available. That's exactly what I can't understand. The interfaces are all active.
The only thing I didn't do was connect the switch to the zyxel nebula
    cloud.
