    Hi @Samm,

Please try to attach serial console or access device WEB GUI by lan IP address.

Let's check if web gui or serial console is able to access to perform further debug.

What I found is that there are several attempts to connect to the firewall through the public IP.

I am new to ZYXEL, I ask: could the equipment enter protection mode when receiving several failed connections and block the management of the equipment?

local navigation everything is fine. Only again I don't have access to the firewall administration. I have to reboot the firewall to get in.

    Hi @Samm

Thanks for reporting this case to us. We suggest the following steps to recover your service:

Step 1: Disconnect the WAN port connection and reboot your device.

Step 2: Access the device's Web-GUI using the LAN port.

Step 3: Update the firmware to our latest version, V5.36P2.

You can download the firmware from this link:

    Thank you.

    Hi PeperUK

When upgrading the equipment, do I lose all current settings?

I ask: the equipment is about 150 kilometers from where I am,
I manage the equipment remotely, through the public IP.

I want to be sure that I don't lose management when restarting?

if you share me the steaps for to upgrade I would appreciate

    regards,

    Samm

It would be best then to login and add a block rule for VPN services to Zywall then reboot

log in and update the standby firmware if you can your config should be copied over on upgrade then you will reboot with new firmware and your config.

If your firmware on standby is old and will not let you upgrade it ask for older firmware to bring it up to current.
