Zywall 310 : DHCP may not work (interface overlap)
Afternoon,
We are un able to bind a ip address to a mad address in "edit ethernet" , we cant ever edit teh discription in here.
Error is >
Interface IP addressing is overlap with : interface:ge3:M IP:172.x.x.x etc, DHCP may not work.
On looking the ip address on this interface is not repeated anywhere.
Any pointers please?

The error message is mentioned your IP subnet has overlap.
Can you use CLI command to shows all of your interface information to us?
Router# show interface all
And let us know what’s the steps to reproduce it.

Hi thanks for response, its clear now i see the issue6 ge3 1000M/Full 172.16.100.1 255.255.252.0 Static
7 ge3:m Up 172.16.100.2 255.255.252.0 Device HAhowever this is because i have device HA setuphow can i work around?

I have exactly the same issue. It appears that once you set up Device HA and give a port an administration IP for Device HA in the same subnet that the port is configured for (as required) you can no longer make any changes to the DHCP setting for that port without getting the overlap error.
i tried to increase the DHCP pool size and got the error.
