It appears our ATP700 loses the DNS settings configured under Firewall.

for some reason the dns settings we have configured are lost:

dns.name.local 10.1.10.12

Wont resolve and when i enter a bogus dns.name.local2 to 10.1.10.12 and save the settings all the DNS configurations work again. Is this some sort of bug in the latest firmware? I cant see any configuration changes that might trigger this.

    Hi @BMO_Vincent

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please provide us with the details of your current running firmware?
Regarding your query, are you referring to a situation where you had an A record for the DNS name "dns.name.local" with the IP address 10.1.10.12, but suddenly the A record disappeared?
If my understanding is incorrect or if you have any additional information, please feel free to share a screenshot with us. This will help us better understand and address your question. Thanks.

  • Current version:V5.36(ABTJ.2) (Latest)

    Below the DNS settings:

The problem is that while nothing seems to change those local dns names appear to not work anymore. Once i set a bogus record and save the settings the dns names work again.

1 day later the dns settings dont work anymore. While the settings shown are actually shown to be correct.

If you packet capture on PC when you do nslookup for them names do you get any reply from ATP (even some type of ICMP) when it happens?
