I don't know what it's called, but need outbound connection to return
Hello,
I use a program called Screen connect that allows me to remote access pc's for support.
I had to reset my zyxel becaue it got corrupted from an update, and i have set the port forwards correctly as they pass the test utility, but…
when i type in the url that's supposed to UNIVERSALLY work from inside OR outside, it fails now. I once was able to call zyxel support and the guy helped me over the phone in like 3 minutes, but i am hoping i can just get the help i need.
issue is universally browsable, but i am not sure what the 'it' name for it is…i can say with confidence, it's not "loopback" as the zyxel won't let me check that box.
again, to clarify… when i put in the URL inside the zyxel firewall, i am supposed to be able to still get to my server inside the network by it going out to the dns and coming back in. if that makes sense.
USG20-vpn with the new fandangled Flex 50 firmware.
Thank you for any help.

Sounds like NAT loopback to me not sure why you can't check that box...unless you set external IP to any? you need to make address object for WAN interface and set it for external IP for the NAT rule

i was able to call Zyxel support and they fixed it with this NAT… it was loopback, but PeterUK was correct the external was set to any… see image..this solved everything.

Hi @Ike ,
Do you mean something like tringle route or NAT loopback?
Can you send me your startup configuration in PM further checking.
