Zywall USG FLEX 500 can't send daily report, not saving configurations correctly in GUI and CLI.

It seems that Zywall USNG FLEX 500 does not correctly save notification configurations in the GUI and the CLI does not have configuration commands for do that.

If I configure the daily report in the GUI and configure notifications (on FW 5.36 U2 and 5.37) by checking the SMTP Authentication option in the CLI on the status of the report nothing changes.

This is the current GUI notification configuration:

As you can see on the GUI, SMTP items are configured, but in the list of daily report settings such settings are no longer present on CLI.

This is the current CLI configuration

And if I want to configure the report straight from the CLI according to

https://download.zyxel.com/USG_FLEX_500/cli_reference_guide/USG%20FLEX%20500_V5.37.pdf (page 582)

there are no such commands that are responsible for SMTP.

These are all commands I can use in daily reports during configuration.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

    Hi @pol5533

Thank you for your reminder, and we will confirm with the internal team regarding the document correction. Currently, if you want to configure the Mail Server using the CLI, you can configure the relevant parameters.

    Router# configure terminal

    Router(config)# mail-server

    Router(config-mail-server)#

    Dear @pol5533

Welcome to the Zyxel community. Could you provide a remote Web-GUI to let check it further? We will send a private message to you later. Thanks.

    Dear @pol5533

If you wish to set up the E-mail Daily Report feature, kindly proceed to Configuration > Log & Report > E-mail Daily Report to configure this feature. I utilized USG Flex 100(with V5.37 firmware) and successfully configured this setting both on the Web-GUI and through the console CLI. Thank you.

The expected action would be to configure the SMTP server and the information about the configured server would appear in the 'show' command, according to the CLI command instructions.

As I mentioned I check configure the daily report straight from the CLI according to

    https://download.zyxel.com/USG_FLEX_500/cli_reference_guide/USG%20FLEX%20500_V5.37.pdf (page 582)

Where it says that the 'show' command should include SMTP configuration.

But despite the description it doesn't work that way, because I have the SMTP server configured in System > Notifications and in my USG FLEX I don't see the SMTP configuration in the 'show' command.

The other thing I wrote about is that according to the handbook example I should be able to use the commands to configure SMTP from the CLI, only in my case there is no command starting with SMTP in the daily reports configuration from the CLI.

Handbook example page 584 commands for configuration table at page 582

List of commands available in the daily report configuration:

As I wrote in private correspondence I don't see an attempt to send a report on the mail server.

Command "send now" don't generate any error.

That's why I wanted to check in the CLI if the SMTP configuration is correct but I can't do it because the CLI itself doesn't show in the command 'show' configuration of SMTP, (according to the manual it should), secondly you can't do SMTP configuration from the CLI because there are no such commands where the manual describes pages 582-585.
