UPS Automatically Shutdown

Hi,
My last USG100 was killed by a power outage. (POWER Led Always RED)
Is there a way to automatically shutdown when a power outage occurs (UPS start to work) as happens, for example, with Synology NAS?

Currently there is no mechanism to detect power outage and shutdown the device automatically.

Are there any messages shown on the console when power LED is always red?

Try to connect console to USG 100 and collect all messages on console when the power LED is red.

Example:

Use TeraTerm to open console. Baud rate is 115200.

For the console connection do I need of a standard Serial DB9 cable?

In the USG 100 box there was a blue DB9-RJ45 cable. What is it for?

Hi @Franc,

 

In the box of USG 100, there should be one RS-232 console Y-cable.

You can also find one HL-340 RS232 and connect HL-340 RS232 directly between the USG 100 and PC.

I made the connection, I switched on the USG 100,  but nothing apear...black screen, any suggestion?

Did you install TeraTerm and select the serial port?
